Tucked away in the Pacific Northwest is a little town called Vernonia; hidden beneath a veil of mist, surrounded by Douglas Fir trees, and home of axe men. It is an amazing community full of love, life, and laughter amongst friends and family alike. This is the community we call home.

When I sat down and thought about what my company name should be, I knew 2 things. 1) I wanted it to be obvious we were a wedding/event company and 2) I wanted it to somehow reflect where I grew up. "Under the Veil" was ultimately the winner because there is SO much more to wedding planning than putting on your attire (veil, suit, etc). There are a lot of little details that go into a once-in-a-lifetime event, which can sometime be daunting -- but it doesn't have to be! The secondary reason for the name is that it "veil" is often used in literacy to refer to fog/mist; "a veil of mist". My little hometown of Vernonia wakes up almost every morning to a veil of mist that encompasses the trees, lake, and town.

We want to bring some of the same fundamentals we grew up on, to each event we are a part of. When choosing us, we guarantee that when you   reminisce on your big day you will remember what was under the veil--
love, life, and laughter. Enjoy each moment! Soak it all in! We are here to take care of the details, so that you don't have to!

Spring is by far my favorite season. I love the variety of green leaves in the trees, colorful floral and the part sunny part rainy days.

I grew up with 3 brothers and 3 sisters (Nichole helps me with events). And now as a mom, I have full house again (though not quite as full)!

For most, if your eye color is going to change it will happen around 6 months of age. For me, my eyes were blue until I was 6, hazel green until 14, and are now dark green.

They have always been my favorite! I even have 2 watercolor butterflys on my shoulder to acknowledge my love for them (and love for watercolor painting).

Growing up I was a straight A student, ballerina, and cheerleader who loved to wear "business professional" clothes and heels to school. Yet, when I got home or on the weekends you would find me wearing jeans around a fire, in the woods, or mud wrestling with my dad and cousins. I like to refer to my style as the perfect mix of "classy and country".

That theme followed me from my attire choices into my event design preferences. While I love a beautiful black tie wedding in a ballroom, I am also a sucker for the rustic chic vibe a beautiful farm table paired with lace and greenery emits.

No matter what your style or color scheme is, I promise that we will work together to make your big day exactly how you envisioned it!
